What is 3D Gaussian splatting?

3D Gaussian splatting (3DGS) is a way of turning photos or video of a real place into a photorealistic 3D scene. Instead of building a polygon mesh, it represents the space as millions of small, soft, colored ellipsoids called Gaussian splats. The result keeps fine detail such as reflections, foliage and soft lighting, and it can be explored freely in a web browser.

What is PandaSplat?

PandaSplat is Gaussian splat hosting and virtual tour software. You upload a Gaussian splat .ply file, PandaSplat optimizes it for fast streaming, and you turn it into an interactive 3D walkthrough with hotspots, viewpoints, floor plans and a spatial map. Tours can be shared as a link, embedded on any website or kept private. PandaSplat was developed for Axora360, a New York City virtual tour studio, by Panda Development Group, and both are owned by Clark-Ritchotte Communications and affiliated companies.

Which Gaussian splat files can I upload?

PandaSplat accepts Gaussian splat .ply files from tools such as Postshot, Polycam, Luma, Scaniverse, Nerfstudio and gsplat, and it opens SuperSplat's compressed .ply files directly. It also recognizes ordinary point clouds and meshes and explains what they are instead of failing silently. You can also create a splat in the cloud from a video or a ZIP of photos on any plan. Cloud rendering of Insta360 360 camera files requires the Professional plan or above.

How is PandaSplat different from SuperSplat?

PandaSplat uses the same Gaussian splat processing backend as SuperSplat (PlayCanvas splat-transform) and opens SuperSplat's compressed .ply files. SuperSplat is a general purpose splat editor. PandaSplat is built for publishing 3D virtual tours, with tour-based POIs, multiple viewpoints, viewpoint markers, multi-floor floor plans, a spatial map and the ability to link several splats into one building tour.

Can I embed a Gaussian splat on my website?

Yes. Every published tour has an embed code you can paste into WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Wix or plain HTML, plus a share link and a QR code. Embeds are responsive and work on phones, tablets and desktop browsers.

Do Gaussian splatting virtual tours work on phones?

Yes. PandaSplat makes an optimized SPZ copy of every scan and a lighter version for phones and low-memory devices. Visitors see the lighter version first and full detail loads in the background, so tours open quickly on mobile and stay smooth while walking around.

How much does Gaussian splatting cost?

Hosting and the tour builder start free on the Starter plan, with paid plans from $49 per month for more tours, storage and branding, and an Agency plan at $149 per month for client workspaces and white label viewers. Capture is priced separately: the cost of Gaussian splatting services depends on the size of the space, the number of areas or floors, travel and how much tour content you need. Can visitors walk between rooms and floors?

Yes. You can save multiple viewpoints in each scan and link them with viewpoint markers, link several splats into one building tour with scene markers, and add a floor plan for each level. A spatial map shows visitors where they are and lets them jump to any scene, viewpoint or floor.

Are my scans private?

Tours are private until you publish them. You can publish publicly, unlisted, with a password, for signed-in members only, or through expiring share links. Your original files are stored privately and are only ever delivered through short-lived signed links.

Can I white label PandaSplat for my clients?

Yes. Branding (logo, colors and loading screen) is included from the Professional plan. The Agency plan adds white label viewers, verified custom domains and separate client workspaces with their own members and billing, so you can run Gaussian splat hosting under your own brand.

Do you offer Gaussian splatting services in NYC?

Yes. Through Axora360, our capture team scans spaces across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island, plus Westchester and the Hudson Valley, and delivers the finished interactive 3D virtual tour on PandaSplat. Projects elsewhere in the US are quoted on request.

What can I add inside a 3D tour?

There are 20 kinds of content: images, image and text cards, galleries, video, 360 degree video, audio, text, HTML, links, lead forms, PDFs, downloadable files, maps, 360 degree object spins, 3D models, products, callouts, point clouds, other splats and quizzes. Each can appear as an icon, a label, a clickable area or a panel placed directly in the scene.
