Building tours

Editor basics

The editor has three areas: the left panel lists scenes, viewpoints, markers, points of interest, floor plans and the guided tour; the 3D view in the middle; and the properties panel on the right for whatever is selected.

  • Move around in the 3D view like a visitor: drag to look, W A S D to move, scroll to go forward.
  • Set start view saves the current camera as the scene's starting position.
  • Add viewpoint saves the current camera as a named viewpoint.
  • Undo / Redo: Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z (⌘ on Mac).
  • Autosave: edits save a moment after you stop. If the same tour is edited somewhere else at the same time, you'll be asked to reload rather than silently overwriting.

Orientation

Many trainers export scenes upside down. Use Scene → Orientation → Flip upside down or set an exact rotation.

Connecting several scans

Each scan is its own scene with its own coordinates. Connect scenes with scene markers and set where the visitor arrives. Scans are never merged or aligned automatically; use the scene transform if you want two scans to share coordinates.
